Welcome onto Foodie Scribe blog, today we will be examining recipe for lentil soup
Lentil Soup Recipe
- 1 cup brown or green lentils, rinsed and drained
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 celery stalk, chopped
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
1. Sauté onion, garlic, carrots, and celery in a pot.
2. Add lentils, broth, tomatoes, cumin, and paprika.
3. Simmer until lentils are tender (20-30 mins).
4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired!
